What a debt ceiling deal will mean to you in one paragraph
July 31, 2011
“From the perspective of a rational person, we shouldn’t even be talking about spending cuts at all now,” Nobel Prize winning economist Paul Krugman told ABC’s Christiane Amanpour. “We have nine percent unemployment. These spending cuts are going to worsen unemployment… If you have a situation in which you are permanently going to raise the unemployment rate — which is what this is going to do — that’s actually going to reduce future revenues.”
Get ready to share some shoulder all the sacrifice.

If Leo Messi wants to play with a soccer ball INSIDE the White House, you let him
July 29, 2011
I think it’s safe to say the U.S. will never be a soccer country. The best team on the planet - FC Barcelona - was kicked off the National Mall near the White House for trying to kick the ball around a bit:
Oh well. At least the U.S. Men’s Soccer Team finally fired Bob Bradley.

In Brazil, the LGBT Community is being massacred
July 27, 2011
Despite steps taken by Brazil’s politicians to give equality to the LGBT community - Marriage equality recently became the law of the land - Brazil is still a very dangerous place for the LGBT community, which is putting everyone in danger:
A self-employed 42 year old had his ear severed in the early morning hours last Friday in São João da Boa Vista, a city in the São Paulo countryside 216 km from the capital. The victim and his 18 year old son say they were embracing after a country music show at the local agriculture fair when they were mistaken for a homosexual couple by a group of homophobes.
Father and son were waiting for their girlfriends, who had gone to the restroom. “They asked if we were gay and we said no,” said the man.
According to him, the group insisted on bothering them. “He asked us to kiss, because it is legal”.
Shortly thereafter, he claims to have been punched in the jaw and was unconscious for 15 seconds. When he regained consciousness, he was missing a piece of his right ear.
Brazil’s immense problem with hate crimes against the LGBT community is well documented:
In 2010, 260 gay men, transvestites and lesbians were murdered in Brazil. According to a report by the Grupo Gay da Bahia (GGB) released on Monday, every day and a half a Brazilian LGBT is killed. In the past five years, there has been an increase of 113 percent in the number of murders of LGBTs. In the first three months of 2011 alone, there were 65 murders.
Among the victims, 54 percent were gay men, 42 percent were transvestites and four percent were lesbians. Luiz Mott, the anthropologist responsible for the survey, believes the statistics are smaller than the reality. “Those 260 documented murders are an underreported number, because there are no official hate crime statistics in Brazil. The situation for homosexuals is extremely troubling.”
The study also indicates that Brazil is the world leader in the murders of LGBTs. In the United States, 14 murders of transvestites were reported in 2010, while in Brazil there were 110 murders. Furthermore, the risk of an LGBT being killed violently in Brazil is 785 percent greater than in the United States.
Part of the reason for the extreme intolerance in Brazilian society is the effect of the Catholic Church and Christian evangelicals promoting an anti-LGBT agenda. But whatever the reason, it is time for the government to start taking drastic and important steps to stop this massacre. Murder and hatred is not an acceptable part of any society.

David Wu did not resign because of a “Sex Scandal” - he is accused of rape, or attempted rape
July 26, 2011
Oregon Rep. David Wu resigned from Congress today. Here is why:
Two people with knowledge of the recording and the later conversation with Wu said the alleged incident took place over Thanksgiving weekend. Sources said they were told that the woman went outside and Wu left after her. The sexual encounter followed, they said.
Two sources said the woman believed there was not enough evidence to press charges. There were no witnesses, and it would be her word against a seven-term member of the U.S. Congress.
David Wu resigned because an 18-year-old said he raped or attempted to rape her, but didn’t press charges. This is the norm. In the U.S., 60% of rape victims do not report the crime, with her reasoning being an important reason as to why. She was afraid of going against a powerful man in court. Because she knew how she would be treated.
Nonetheless, the U.S. media is reporting it as a “Sex Scandal,” such as Talking Points Memo: “David Wu Resigns From Congress Over Teen Sex Scandal.”
Calling it a “Sex Scandal,” or “unwanted sexual activity” or an “unwanted sexual encounter” just serves to soften why he resigned. An An “aggressive, unwanted sexual encounter” is rape or attempted rape. By definition. It most certainly not a “sex scandal.”
David Wu is being accused of raping or attempting to rape an 18-year-old girl. That is the fact of the matter. That is the correct word choice.

Update: I added “Attempted Rape,” to this post, as it was not made clear in the story if sexual intercourse in fact took place. Wu has been previously accused of attempting to rape an ex-girlfriend. My reading of The Oregonian’s coverage of this, however, strongly suggests that this was rape. — WKW
Muslim Islamofascist Jihadists steal girl’s bike! (Updated)
July 26, 2011
This frightening news has just been reported by CNN. A 7-year-old girl has had her bike stolen in Des Moines, Iowa. The bike - a Huffy Disney Princess - has not been seen for more than three hours. The girl - Andie Fitzgerald is apparently heartbroken.
“She’s crying and crying,” said her mother, Tami Fitzgerald. “She really loved that bike.”
First off, let me make it clear that there is no evidence of who actually stole the bike, and it would be irresponsible to introduce conjecture into the mix. But let’s be honest here - this was obviously the work of Muslim Islamofascist Jihadists. As Muslim Islamofascist Jihadist Expert Pamela Gellar once said:
“Muslim Islamofascist Jihadists would go so far as stealing a little girl’s bike. That’s how evil they are.”
From my experience and studies on Muslim Islamofascist Jihadism, I have come to know how these evil doers think. Obviously, when they stole the bike their intention was complete enslavement of America and forced Sharia Law. It is but a few short steps from getting their hands on a bike to detonating nuclear weapons in all major U.S. cities.
So what do we do now that Muslim Islamofascist Jihadists have begun their plan that will inevitabvly lead to the death of millions of Americans just like you? Well, due to the Muslim Islamofascist Jihadist-loving liberals in the U.S., there’s little we can do. We will all either soon be dead or be slaves to Muslim Islamofascist Jihadists. This much is obvious.
Pray for us. The end is here.
Update 1: The Washington Post’s Jennifer Rubin has reported that a previously unknown Muslim Islamofascist Jihadist group known as “The Muslim Islamofascist Jihadist Death to America and Bike Stealing Freedom Fighters of Death” has taken credit for stealing the bike. It’s over folks. Obama has led us to destruction.
Update 2: The liberal media is reporting that there is no such group as “The Muslim Islamofascist Jihadist Death to America and Bike Stealing Freedom Fighters of Death.” They are lying. This is happening.
Update 3: The girl reportedly has found her bike, which was under some clothes in the garage. This sounds like a cover-up.
Update 4: Ok, the girl’s family has announced that the bike was found and have released a photo.
Update 5: I’m already taking some undeserved criticism from liberals. The simple fact is, Muslim Islamofascist Jihadists would have stolen Andie Fitzgerald’s bike if they could have and most definitely will in the future. Possibly later today. This future theft will usher in an era of terrorism, nuclear blasts and Sharia Law. So none of my reporting on this was actually wrong, per se. It will just be correct later. My point remains.

This exists in the world
July 25, 2011
A gold-plated super-yacht that is claimed to be worth a staggering £3 billion ($4.5 billion) has taken the title of the most expensive in the world.
UK designer Stuart Hughes claims that the 30-metre long History Supreme yacht is adorned with 100,000 kilograms of gold and platinum that covers more than half its surface and even comes with a statue made from the bone of a T-Rex dinosaur.
The base of the yacht as well as the deck, dining areas, rails and anchor are wrapped in solid gold and the sleeping areas are covered in platinum.
There is also a wall feature in the master bedroom that is made from meteoric stone and an aquarium made from 68kg of 24 carat gold.
Also on board is a luxury liquor bottle featuring an 18.5ct diamond, one of the world’s rarest.
Sources say the yacht is powered by the hunger and broken dreams of millions of poor people. Mind you, the owner of the boat is a job creator, so it’s cool.

Follow the money
July 25, 2011
At least some people are getting paid. Via the Washington Post (Subscription needed):
While the U.S. economy is struggling, U.S. corporations aren’t.
A third of the way through the second-quarter reporting season, earnings at companies in the Standard & Poor’s 500-stock index are the highest in four years, according to S&P analyst Howard Silverblatt, who predicts the second half will be even stronger. Yet there is little indication that the strong results will jump-start the U.S. economy and get the millions of Americans idled by the recession back to work.
Blessed be the job creators. Now the rest of you get your resumes in order and ignore the person behind the corporate logo.

Small dog tells Louie Gohmert to run for President
July 20, 2011
WASHINGTON - Republican U.S. Representative Louie Gohmert (Texas) has announced he is considering a run for President of the United States of America after a small dog told him he should.
“He seemed quite serious,” said Gohmert. “I’d be crazy not to listen.”
Gohmert, now in his second term in the House, has had a colorful career in Congress, having raised the possibility of an attack of terror babies - babies born to illegal immigrants who are then trained to become anti-American jihadists. Gohmert has also said that U.S. involvement in Libya is an excuse for President Barack Obama to unleash a private army, as well as accusing Obama of being a Jihadist himself.
Sources close to Gohmert say they believe the small dog is behind his most outlandish statements.
“It’s really the only thing that makes sense,” said the source. “I mean, ‘terror babies?’ That’s something only a small dog could come up with.”
The mixed Shih Tzu - named “Pookie” - had no comment to the reports.
