Live-Twitter of Footloose scheduled for today at 12 p.m. (PST) - Add your voice to this festival of Comedic Snark

My friends, a few weeks back, I re-watched the movie Footloose. And I immediately realized that we all had to come together as one to make jokes at it.

Yes kids, as previously stated, today at Noon PST (3 p.m. EST), live on Twitter, I will be hosting “Twootloose: A Live Twitter Examination of the Social, Political and Moral Implications of Footloose”

Basically, at 3 p.m. EST, I, and millions of others around the globe, will simultaneously start watching the move Footloose, and do our level best to go off on in it in a Mystery Science Theater 3000-type snark-fest of epic proportions. Now, as you can see more about this in my previous post, let me now give a few steps on how you can be involved:

1) Watching the movie as it happens is not required, obviously. However, you can rent Footloose at ITunes for just $2.99, if you choose.

2) You can follow the event on Twitter by typing - #footloose - in the search area on the right-hand side of your Twitter home page. Also, when making comments, please add the hashtag #footloose to the end of your Tweet so all can see.

3) If you have a Twitter account, you can also log in and easily follow and contribute here: http://tweetchat.com/room/footloose - If you make comments there, the hash #footloose will be added automatically to your post.

4) Aside from the fun of it, this event will also give you a great chance to follow some very funny people, like writer Kim Sherrell (@kimsherrell on Twitter) and Olivia Wilder (@oliviawilder on Twitter)- if you like comedy and/or write comedy and humor, this will be a great opportunity to meet and connect with like-minded people.

5) Most importantly - this whole venture is done for fun and frivolity. There are no rules. Let’s have some mindless laughs at a mindlessly fun movie. Let’s see how clever and funny you are. Let’s just have fun.
